“I pen this first letter to you with thankfulness and excitement as circumstances have propelled me into IP duties several months ahead of schedule.
Upon becoming IP Elect, one of my first actions was to select my theme. It is “Let Your Light Shine” and is inspired by the passage of Mathew 5:16 in the Bible. As members of our great movement,
I equate our role to that of a lighthouse, providing a guiding beacon to illuminate the positive and hoping that this light might be reflected and passed on by those it touches.”

My Theme for 2022/2023 is ‘Elegantly Change with New Era ‘ & Slogan is ‘Doing It Right Now’.
I am also as a HCC for YMI Centennial Celebration which will be held at ‘Grand Hyatt Hotel’ Taipei on November 15-17, 2022. Taiwan is a friendly diversified island.

“The Asia Pacific Area is a multi-lingual Area that embraces 15 territories and is rich in culture.
I salute our members in the Area for the sacrifices that they have and are making in serving their respective community in various ways to make a difference amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is our hope that this website will provide readers a good insight into the programs and activities within the Area. We invite like-minded socially responsible individuals to join us in this mission to make a difference.”

I have chosen ‘Y’s Men with the World’ as our theme for the year with the slogan ‘Heal the World with Love and Dignity’. This calls for enhancing fellowship and community services in our club life which will help overcome the anxieties of life. I truly believe that such activities will strengthen the health of our Region, Area, and the entire association of Y’s Men.”

PROGRAMS
As Y’s Men International is a world-wide fellowship of persons of all faiths working constructively together, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, in partnership with and supporting the YMCA, its mission is to strive through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better world for all humankind.
International Support
Time of Fast (TOF) is an annual International Y’s Men’s fund-raising programme which began as monetary assistance made available to areas of developing countries by arrangement with the World Alliance of YMCAs.
Y’s Men International is playing a key role in the battle against malaria. As a partner within the RBM Partnership and a member of the Alliance for Malaria Prevention, we raise money to support our primary partner, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Cultural Exchange
Allowing travel of members to visit members in other countries.
iGo
Welcome to iGo, a novel collaborative programme of Y’s Men International and the YMCA providing short term internships to young adults aged 18 – 30 from within both organisations.
Environment
Y’s Men International is committed to being an environmentally responsible organisation. It accepts its responsibility to reduce its environmental footprint. This is a duty that accompanies the right to be involved in Y’s Men’s activities.

Giving back to and strengthening its community is the principal purpose of a Y’s Men International club.

The first Y’s Men’s Club beyond the shores of the North American Continent was formed in Shanghai, China, in 1924, thus commencing the expansion of Y’sdom to every continent on the globe.
