Who can join a club?
Membership is open to men and women of good community standing who have an interest in the betterment of their local community.
How old do you need to be to become a Y Service member?
While some clubs may have members younger than 18 years of age it is recommended that 18 should be used as a guide for the lower end of the Age membership. There is no upper age limit for a member and many clubs have members in the 80’s and 90 years of age.
What is the relationship between a Y Service Club and YMCA?
Traditionally the YMCA and Y’s Men’s clubs work to together to make the world a better place. In places where there are Y Service Clubs operating without a YMCA partner they still follow the aims of the partnership between YMCA and Y Service Clubs.

How do you start a new club?
You need a group of interested people. A minimum of 5 persons can form a club. However, most clubs seem to charter with between 15 to 25 persons.
There is no upper limit to the number of memberships a club may have. You will have to go through a process of orientation that is normally conducted by a sponsoring club.

Where can I find a Y Service Club near me?
You can find a Y Service Club near where you are located by contacting the Regional Director that is closest to your location. Also, you can use the “find my Club link” in the Blue link Bar at the top of this website
Who do I contact for Information on Joining Y Service Club?
There are several places you can go to get information about Joining a Y Service Club.

What are the costs of starting a new Club?
When a group of people decide to form a new club, they need to notify the Regional Director. There is a Charter fee payable to International.
You can find the current cost on the international headquarters website https://www.ysmen.org/payments/dues/ .
There is an annual Asia Pacific Area membership due as well as Region and any Club Dues that the new club may decide to levy to cover costs related to their club. Contact your Regional Director for further information.
There are also non mandatory contributions to support Y Service Programs.
How does my Club pay their Dues?
This varies from Region to Region. Most have a Regional Treasurer who takes on the role of collecting dues for International, Area and the Region.
If you are unsure, contact your Regional Director for further information. It is also possible to pay directly to the Asia Pacific Area or Y Service International.
The dues payable is based on the club’s membership strength.
